Welcome to the NEW Donkey Rescue UK Website, we hope you enjoy your visit.
We have added a lot of new features and pages so you can really understand the work we do here in Shropshire.

Please note that we are not open to the public. Our aim is to rescue and rehome donkeys where possible.

We are currently looking for foster homes for some of our donkeys. If you can provide a warm stable, land and lots of love, please get in touch.

We are looking for a new Trustee to join the charity. If you think you have the time and qualities to be a trustee of Donkey Rescue UK, please contact us.

Workshops

We have Donkey Care Workshop Days, where disabled or disadvantaged children can come and meet the donkeys, learn how to care for them, groom them, love them and sometimes even ride them.

Sponsor A Donkey

"Sponsor a donkey" is an ideal gift for someone who has everything. Maybe sponsor a donkey for your school, office or group. Or just for yourself to show your support for the donkeys.

For just £15 per year you can help towards vital veterinary treatment, farrier services, equine dentist, rescue missions, feed and shelters for the donkeys. Many have never experienced human friendship or love, and your money can help us show them that the world is not one big nasty place.

In return you will recieve a personalised certificate, a colour photograph and the story to date of your chosen donkey. We love donkey's -  Why not show them that you do too.

Corporate Sponsors are always very welcome, and in return for your goodwill not only do businesses get a corporate certificate they are also recognised on our Corporate Sponsors page. So please business owners help our donkeys and in return we will help promote the goodwill of your business.

Mike was rescued from an auction in the UK where many ponies and donkeys end up being sold to the meat trade. He was a stallion donkey, but has now been castrated and is enjoying life at Donkey Rescue UK where a safe future is certain.

Jack was rescued from wasteland in the Midlands. He was dangerousley thin, and very poorly. He has only one eye, and needs on going veterinary treatment. He was very scared at first, but is now a cheeky little donkey.

Tim was brought over from Romania with his mother as a tiny foal. He was destined for an Italian slaughter house, but is now safe and cared for at Donkey Rescue UK.
